In the fall of 2004, five families met weekly at the Country Inn and Suites Hotel in Crystal Lake to pray and explore the option of starting an Adventist Church in McHenry County. The Church was opened on January 8, 2005, under the name Crystal Lake Adventist Fellowship.

We liked being together so much, worshiping, eating, planning, and socializing, that we decided to call it not just a typical “Church” but rather a “Fellowship” with a mission.

After outgrowing the hotel conference room, we rented a former church in an industrial complex in Lake in the Hills, with a large sanctuary, multiple classrooms, a large fellowship area, and a multi-purpose room which also functioned as a gym.

After our Fellowship was hit hard by the Great Recession of 2008-2009, God led us to buy the current property in Fox River Grove in 2011 and to translate our mission and vision into a nearby community. In early 2012, we launched the Life Connection Radio and, a couple of years later, the Community Closet.
